NC3 chair Bryan Albrecht recently spoke at the 2011 Federal Economic Development Forum in Washington DC. The panel presentation focused on Community and Technical colleges role in economic development and business competitiveness. “It was an important event for NC3 to be represented at. The IEDC provides a platform for business and education partnerships.” US Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack was the keynote for the conference. His message was on the importance of energy policy in the US impacts all of America.

Torque is the simplest concept in the world, isn’t it? Just put the nut on the bolt and turn it until it’s tight. But what if the fastener must be tightened within a certain tolerance? What if the bolt is one metal and the nut is another? Perhaps it’s not so simple after all.
