Announced Friday in the school’s automotive building, students training to be automotive technicians can specialize in vehicles within the Fiat Chrysler family beginning this upcoming school year. When they graduate, technicians will be certified to work in FCA dealerships on vehicles in the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat brands.

DETROIT — Like a ball team building a farm system, Fiat Chrysler is expanding its feeder network of training schools to meet a rapidly growing need for service technicians.
The company plans to more than triple — from 31 now to at least 100 by 2017 — the number of community colleges, technical and other schools certified to train technicians for Mopar warranty work.
