NC3 was honored to participate as one of four partnering organizations to host a ChangeMaker Assembly session at the National Association of WorkForce Board’s Annual Forum. The NC3 ChangeMaker Assembly was designed to provide insight and guidance on how workforce boards can leverage existing sector work and formulate steps to become a catalyst that connects sectors and fuels job growth.
NC3 Executive Director, Roger Tadajewski, also served on the panel in the opening general session focused on “Forging Purposeful Change” to unpack the issues that serve as both barriers and opportunities as workforce leaders seek to become economic engines for their community and state. Roger also participated in a podcast (available soon for download) with NAWB CEO, Ron Painter, discussing issues related to the changing workplace dynamics and the impact on education and training, how NC3 meets the evolving needs of its business partners and community college members and the increasing role of credentials.
NC3 would like to thank its education and industry partners and staff that served as speakers on several of the “Industry Insight” sessions which looked at the shifting workplace needs of different industry sectors and provided perspective into how the workforce system can engage with businesses in the evolving environment. Individuals representing both NC3 and their companies in these sessions included Paul Aiello, FANUC America; Steve Lehr, Greenlee; Scott Stoddart, IC3/Certiport; Earl Bailey, Snap-on; John Lee, TCAT; and Tony Oran, Festo Didactic.
