Matt Janisin has been named Gateway’s new vice president of the Business and Workforce Solutions Division. Janisin takes over the helm of the division from outgoing vice president Debbie Davidson, who is retiring. Janisin begins his duties Oct. 30.

NDSCS has now enhanced the program by providing students the opportunity to acquire professional certifications from Greenlee and Snap-on while they are in the program.
Wahpeton, ND – On Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) marks the opening of the college’s new NC3 Trane Building Automation Systems lab, a state-of-the-art instructional facility.
NDSCS’s new Building Automation Systems lab is the result of a partnership with NC3 and Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, and a workforce enhancement grant from the North Dakota Department of Commerce.
Hands-on learning is quickly becoming the best-known way for students to fully grasp concepts and curriculum, especially in the world of technical education. To this end, classrooms have started to change in accommodation for this type of hands-on teaching. Because 3D printers are becoming more regular in everyday classrooms (not just tech ed rooms), machine tools, like CNC mills and lathes, are more commonplace in the shop.
