Our team at NC3 has some impressive employees in our ranks and this Staff Spotlight series aims to highlight the incredibly talented individuals who work with us. We’ll be featuring a new interview in our monthly newsletters, here on our website, and on our social media pages each month.

This month’s Staff Spotlight features NC3 team member, Daniel Dobson, NC3’s Virtual Customer Success & Training Coordinator! Before Daniel started working with NC3, he worked in accounts receivable for the McKesson Corporation in Minnesota and in customer service for Delta Faucet! Since moving back to his home state of Indiana, he’s excited about his new role with NC3 and the work he gets to do to support CTE instructors worldwide at NC3’s Train-the-Trainer events.

In his role at NC3, Daniel spends his days verifying equipment and supporting NC3’s Train-the-Trainer team with both virtual and in-person training events. He’s incredibly proud that since the first NC3 Virtual Train-the-Trainer class went live in 2020, he and his team have hosted 130+ virtual trainings that have granted certifications to 1,500+ instructors.
Check out our Q&A session below to learn more about Daniel, what he likes most about his job, what his favorite project has been while working at NC3, and more!

What do you like most about your job?

What makes my job so great is the people I work with on a daily basis. The NC3 team did an outstanding job acclimating me to my current role and continues to help me grow. When I encounter obstacles, it is comforting to know that I have a devoted team willing to assist at a moment’s notice.

What has been your favorite project while working at NC3?

I had the opportunity to assist with an in-person Train-the-Trainer event at West-MEC in Phoenix, AZ. There is a long list of reasons why this is my favorite project with NC3 thus far. Firstly, this event brought people in from all over this country, and I was able to meet with all walks of life throughout the week. Another thing worth mentioning is how beautiful the West-MEC campuses were, as well as the surrounding area of Phoenix. Phoenix is a wonderful place to visit during the winter months, and I was privileged to get out of the house and enjoy it!

What were you most surprised to learn about NC3 during or shortly after you onboarded with NC3?

Starting a new job can be unnerving in the beginning stages, but I was pleasantly surprised by how seamless the onboarding process was for me at NC3. I found that the culture at NC3 was very supportive, and I immediately felt that each person on my team was rooting for me to succeed.

What was the best vacation you’ve ever had?

I just recently visited Ireland with my family, and it was by far the best trip I have ever taken. We landed in Dublin on St. Patrick’s day and started off the trip with a lovely parade. After that, we dispersed to visit relatives. I have cousins in Northern Ireland as well as the south, and I was able to visit both! My cousin Shamus owns the land where my great-grandmother grew up alongside her 11 siblings, and he has a wonderful farm with cows and sheep. If I were to describe the rural countryside of Ireland, I would not do its beauty justice. Not only was the countryside beautiful, but the cities were beautiful as well. I spent around three days in Dublin, and it was a blast. I already want to go back!

What is on your wish list for the next 5 years with NC3?

In the next five years, I hope to see NC3 continue to grow at its current rate. During my short time here, NC3 has welcomed several new faces to the team. I know this growth is possible because I see the ways in which NC3 improves daily. One example of this would be the development of new strategies to streamline processes on the back end of the website. I have witnessed members of the NC3 team constantly brainstorming on ways to improve, and I have seen many ingenious solutions that have been the result of outside-the-box thinking.
