What is your proudest moment at NC3?

My proudest moment so far was attending my first Train-the Trainer event. I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I dove in headfirst, introduced myself and started resolving issues, building relationships, and most importantly building trust. I believe the attendees left this training knowing they had someone they can depend on leading the Kubota Tech program.

What do you like most about your job?

I love knowing that I’m helping someone. Whether it’s helping an instructor, an institution, my industry partner, or a fellow team member. I enjoy building relationships and knowing that I made a difference. I want others to know they can count on me to be there and assist in any way I can.

What was the best vacation you’ve ever had?

The best vacation I ever had was going to Hawaii for my 5th wedding anniversary. We visited the island of Oahu. We went to Pearl Harbor, whale watching, a beach luau, sunset cruise, and renewed our vows on the beach. It was relaxing and seeing the smile on her face made it all worth it!

What do you like to do on your days off?

Unfortunately, I don’t have too many days off, which is something I got from my dad. Any time that I am free, I am with my family. Life is all about family and I try to do whatever I can with them. I love to cook and have them over and make them laugh.

What was the largest obstacle you faced during your NC3 onboarding? How did you overcome this challenge?

The largest obstacle I have faced is building new relationships. Being the new guy, I am faced with changing the culture within my program. I am here to show the instructors and institutions that NC3 is their partner and together we make a team. I feel I have met this challenge head on and I’m making this team stronger.

How do you feel empowered to help shape or participate in NC3’s culture?

I feel empowered because NC3 lets you be yourself. NC3 leadership supports who you are and how you work. They see your vision and do everything to help you get there. The NC3 staff is a family that works together and cheers each other on. The NC3 culture builds leaders. We are leaders of our programs, we empower leaders in our Master Instructors, and we are creating leaders with our certifications.
