Henry Ford College computer technician Donovan Shaffer has achieved a significant milestone, becoming the first instructor through NC3 to earn the Apple Certified Support Professional Certification. His accomplishment represents the successful launch of NC3’s latest certification pathway and highlights the strong collaboration between NC3, Henry Ford College, and Apple’s Community Education Initiative program.  

Donovan’s success marks an exciting beginning for NC3’s Apple Certified Support Professional program, which recently launched in May 2025. Earning the Apple Certified Support Professional certification demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to help support Apple® devices in an organization. This course builds upon core knowledge to introduce topics like mobile device management, device setup, device profiles, and more.  

Donovan’s achievement comes as HFC’s Apple Foundation program continues to flourish. The free, year-round program introduces students to app development fundamentals, with Donovan serving dual roles as both device manager and instructor/mentor.
