Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Morristown

I was honored to attend the NC3 RIDGID Pipefitting training in Ohio. Their training facility is immaculate and totally stocked with all the training equipment and material needed to complete the training. This is one of the best training courses I have ever attended; the level of guidance was great. Also, Mr. Mark Wood, NC3 Master Instructor, wrote the curriculum for this, and it is so well written that I feel it would fit almost anyone’s curriculum they have already laid out. If you get half a chance, don’t miss this training at this facility.

I have implemented as much of this training as possible while waiting on the tools and equipment that are needed. I have a great deal of this already because we install gas systems and thread our own pipe. For me to be able to fully understand the process and the equipment’s correct use and limitations is priceless; my students are thoroughly enjoying what we do.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful training I received in pipe threading and pressing. I learned many new things during the training related to tool functions and application of the training materials. I know our students will greatly benefit from being certified in these areas from both a marketability perspective when obtaining employment as well as from a practical perspective regarding effectiveness on a jobsite or service application. I have had previous experience with the topics that were presented but I was impressed with the educators' extensive knowledge of the products and the new things they taught me that I hadn't known before. These tips or "tricks of the trade" are invaluable and cannot be found anywhere else. I look forward to passing them down to my students and am grateful that I had the opportunity to attend for that reason. All instructors took time to answer my questions and research RIDGID's recommendations about certain features of the tools and how they can be most effectively used.

The overall delivery of the presentation was excellent. The facilities were clean, well-lit and spacious, and most importantly safe for all participants. Safety was a top priority for all NC3 RIDGID staff and all rules were followed according to RIDGID's requirements and manual instructions. The food was great, and snacks and refreshments were provided all day. NC3 RIDGID staff took into consideration special accommodations of all participants and fostered an inclusive environment where everyone felt they could be themselves and share their experiences and questions. I was most impressed by the positive and caring attitudes of the staff, and they were respectful of everyone's time as the daily schedules were followed according to the program agenda. I would highly recommend the training to anyone that feels like they could benefit from these topics and most importantly to educators that are seeking to find new models and effective ways of training students to be future workers in the trades.

The partnership with NC3 and RIDGID has provided our students with an exceptional head start in the industry. When companies learn that we teach the correct methods to perform essential tasks, they are more likely to invest in our mission. This collaboration has also led to opportunities for companies to reach out and train their employees in skills like threading, pressing, roll grooving, diagnostic & camera inspections. Working alongside RIDGID and NC3 to develop new courses and share my knowledge has been a rewarding experience.
